TO ELABORATE ON THE LIMITS OF THIS SERVICE.

1) There are three major reasons for the exclusion of stickers from this type of promotion. First and foremost, stickers are the most abused form of product by copyright theft. I do not have enough time in the world, to research every sticker image. Second, IMVU has a major issue related to stickers and PNG/GIF graphic format. They have not attempted to fix the issue, nor do I see them fixing it in the near future. The issue with the home-pages, freezes your computer, until all the images are done loading, and then distorts your page. Thirdly, there is no profit in stickers. It would be unfair for me, to promote something that will continue to cost more than it makes. This also falls into issue #8.
2) Mature items can only be seen by people with "Access Pass", and there is some abuse and confusion related to the use of improper icons used to display the items. I will not advertise something that only 10% of IMVU can see. You will not gain much from this service, if you were to list your AP item. Also, I will not place my other customers at risk, from the high chance of potential abuse related to AP. In the event that a listed item is, later changed to AP, it will be removed from circulation without refund.
3) Hidden items can not be seen, so they can not be judged prior to use or purchase. This also opens the door for potential abuse, which may harm my customers, or place me at risk of loss. I will not promote hidden items within this service. In the event that a listed item is, later hidden, it will be removed from circulation without refund.
4) For obvious reasons, disabled users and items are not allowed to be advertised. You have to be able to access your account, in order to collect your credits, and the item has to be enabled to purchase and use it. In the event that a listed item is, later disabled, it will be removed from circulation without refund.
5) Items which have icons that are irrelevant to the item, or unclear or missing descriptions, will not be allowed in the ad circulation. Icons that say, "Image coming soon", or, "Hot Item Inside", or simply flash a logo, are unacceptable. This can only be determined by hand-reviewing, once you submit your item for review. First, if rejected, you will be immediately notified with a suggestive resolution. You can instantly re-submit, or request a refund for your submission fee.*
6) Young developers are a high-risk. There is about a 50% chance of losses associated with abuse of developing unacceptable content. Having been a developer that is mildly established, with items that have been exposed, and survived flagging, grants you permission to be hosted in these advertisements. I will be as lenient as possible, but if you have not been a developer for at-least a week, then your item may be rejected. Rejections are not able to be re-submitted, you will get a refund for your submission fee.
7) Copyright violations are not always clear. I am not a judge, I will not sue you, however, I can not afford to be sued for hosting illegal items. If there is any doubt in my mind, the item will not be allowed for advertisement. Save yourself some time. If your item contains music or logos or claims to have, "Public Domain Images", they may be rejected. Rejections are not able to be re-submitted, but you will have the ability to request a refund for your submission fee.*
8) Low profit items do not help you, and they do not help IMVU. Free and zero-profit items have a place in the catalog, and on your page. They have no home here in advertisement land. I have no reason to take your hard-earned money, if it will not make you more in return. These items will be auto-rejected, you will not have the ability to submit them for review.
9) High profit items do not help you, and they do not help IMVU, and they certainly do not help the customers. If your item makes more than it is worth, at the expense of loss to others, it will not be allowed to be submitted. These items will be auto-rejected, you will not have the ability to submit them for review. This is also due to the limitation of text, where bundles are the issue. Suggestion, List one item from the bundle, and on that page, let the customer know there is a discounted bundle.
* Subject to personal review. Some refunds must be requested, and may be subject to only a partial return, if a direct violation, or repeat rejections are submitted. Continual submissions that get rejected, will eventually lead to your inability to submit in the future. Every effort will be made to inform you of acceptable resolutions, failure to follow the suggested resolutions will lead to your loss of that grace offering. |
